Asia Cup history and a look at all the winners 

Asia Cup started in the year 1984 and this tournament was first played in UAE. There have been a total of 15 editions of the Asia Cup so far, out of which India has won the title a maximum of 7 times (1984, 1988, 1990-91, 1995, 2010, 2016, and 2018).

The Sri Lankan team has become the Asian champion 6 times (1986, 1997, 2004, 2008, 2014, and 2022). Pakistan has won the Asia Cup title only twice (2000 and 2012). Let us tell you that India did not participate in the Asia Cup held in the year 1986.

1984 Asia Cup, UAE: India won both their matches and won the tournament. Sri Lanka finished third after winning one match and Pakistanlostg both matches.

1986 Asia Cup, Sri Lanka: Sri Lanka won the tournament, defeating Pakistan by 5 wickets in the final. India did not participate in the 1986 Asia Cup.

1988 Asia Cup, Bangladesh: India won the title by defeating Sri Lanka by 6 wickets in the final.

2012 Asia Cup, Bangladesh: Pakistan won the tournament, defeating Bangladesh by 2 runs in the final. The Indian team was not successful in making it to the finals.
